How to play
One kick from full back
Seven AFL prompts. 35 seconds each. Every valid answer gains you metres. Rarer answers kick further. Your seven answers combine into one final kick up to 160 metres.

Every prompt has exactly one barrel worth 23 metres. A perfect seven can send it the full 160m, goal to goal.
⏱ Pendlebury Time
Tap PENDLEBURY TIME beside the clock to double that question's time. Time already used isn't reset. Use it once per question, on as many questions as you like. The answer keeps its true rarity, but scores half its metres, rounded down (a 1m shank stays 1m): 1→1, 5→2, 10→5, 15→7, 23→11.
Metres vs the percentage
The metres are set by us when the question is written, based on how obscure we judge each answer to be. They never move, so the same run always scores the same.
The percentage under your answer is something else: how many other players said the same name. The two won't always agree. A 5 metre answer can still be one hardly anyone thinks of.
Once everyone has had a kick, you can see the rarest answers other players found on the results screen, and yesterday's rarest finds any time.

Choose your mode
Footy Nuff is the normal game. You type every answer yourself.
Auskick is the easier mode. Player names autocomplete from the AFL Tables directory as you type. The answer pools and scoring are the same. It just helps you complete names.
Pick your mode on the READY screen and it locks for that game. Your stats and history are kept separate for each mode.
What counts as an answer
For players and coaches, full names are fine. Nick Daicos, Leigh Matthews. Surnames also count now. Pendlebury, Dunstall, De Goey. If a surname matches more than one person in the current answer pool, you'll be asked to pick while the clock pauses.
Recognised nicknames and short names count when we've listed them. Bomber Thompson for Mark Thompson, for example.
For venues, recognised names, historical and naming-rights names, abbreviations and common alternatives all count. MCG, GMHBA, Telstra Dome, Subiaco, Optus Stadium and more.
Capitalisation and small spelling slips are fine. Each accepted answer shows its rarity, metres and your running total before play continues.

Think an answer should count? Submit a challenge and the umpire will review it. Accepted answers are added to the pool for future players.
